Before the event

It's better to install and setup the field collection application before the event. This application is available on IOS and Android devices.

Download QField for QGIS on the appstore/playstore

Alternatively, on Androids, you can download the APK file from https://github.com/opengisch/QField/releases

Make sure to accept these following permissions to make QField work properly: "Camera", "Pictures and videos" and "Location"

Change your password on the server

Your provisory password will be communicated by email. When you have it, go to this adress, login and change your password.

Send me an email (edouard.bruelhart@unifr.ch) with your ORCID identifier. If you don't have one, create it at https://orcid.org/

ORCID is useful to track the collector for each collected sample.

Open the bioblitz project in QField

  • Open QField application
  • Go to QFieldCloud projects. Double tap on the bee logo, a new field called "Server URL" will appear. Fill it with "https://emi-collection.unifr.ch" and enter you username and password you used to register.
  • Click Sign In.
  • Once signed in, go to Community and click on bioblitz_vinesch project. It will download the project.
  • Once project is downloaded, you can click again to open it and see the map. Now you are ready to collect!
